Verdict

Favourites have won two of the three runnings of this race so the market may help but from a shortlist of TAKEAWAY, Unknown Rebel and Johnny Hancocks we will tentatively plump for a Takeaway. Richard Hannon's colt is out of a sprint winning mare and although his draw is not great the likelihood is that he will be ready. His trainer won this race in 2007 and he is narrowly preferred. Huckle Duckle looks the pick of the McEntee duo but is blinkered for this first run, so of more interest may be the Channon pair. Master Macho may need another furlong in time, whilst Beach Patrol looks a bit more precocious on paper and is related to debutant winners. Ivan's A Star is drawn in the car park, Jibouti is related to plenty of winners, whilst Johnny Hancocks didn't cost much but has a real sprinters pedigree. Night Shift gets some speedy sorts who can be quick to come to hand so watch the market closely with Unknown Rebel, however we will take a flyer with Takeaway.
