Waterside is the class act in the field as he proved when dropped to this grade last time out and Gary Moore's charge gets the nod to win again at the main expense of Alfie Tupper. Gary Moore continues to hit the mark with his horses on both the flat and over jumps and Waterside should win again. Whilst the trip is a slight unknown (has won over nine furlongs before), his class should see him through in this small field. Hucking Heat was well held recently in a handicap and appeared to have no excuses; he may be better suited by a return to a slower surface. Fregate Island is officially the second-best horse on official ratings but James Given's charge has not been in good form of late. Without Excuse has a decent chance for Marco Botti who has his horses in good form, and his young Italian jockey has plenty of experience f winners in his homeland. Alfie Tupper is not straightforward but has been holding his form well and looks the pick of Jim Boyle's pair, however this looks a good opportunity for Waterside to record his first win over this new trip.
