In depth

Verdict

Our short listed three are Italian Girl, Ronaldsay and First Princess, with the vote going to the first-named filly. Clewer ran pretty well on her debut here, although the form does not look strong. First Princess cost 19,000 guineas and is an interesting runner for Colin Tinkler. Italian Girl cost 34,000 guineas and has to be of huge interest. Kat Act Two ran pretty well here last time and the drop in trip could suit tonight. Laureldean Express looks okay on breeding, while Richard Hannon¿s Ronaldsay cost 34,000 guineas and is another obvious player. Finally, Mick Channon¿s runner and the Marcus Tregoning do not look obvious ones to us, but watch the market just in case. Once again, then, the vote goes to Italian Girl.
