Verdict
SALT OF THE EARTH looks the solid choice here, getting our vote ahead of Epidaurian King and Blue Charm. Terry Mills' gelding needs to defy top weight, but he did just that to land a similar contest last time out, when ahead of Mr Garston, Kensington and Daring Dream. He's been frustrating at times, but everything clicked just over a week ago, and a similar run should be good enough to land the spoils. Epidaurian King came from off the pace to win here over a mile last time out, connections will be hoping he can show up as well this winter as last, when completing a hat-trick. He's shown before that a low draw doesn't have to be a disadvantage. Blue Charm has been second in his last couple of outings, and his only success came nearly two years ago, but on his day should be capable of coming close. Our pick though, in another moderate event, is Salt Of The Earth.
