In depth

Verdict

There is more form to go on in this than the first division. Black Cow was much too keen at Doncaster last time but still finished five lengths ahead of the exposed Royal Ripple. Mr Shantu was second at Catterick last month while Clondaw Banker didn't look short of pace when winning a point-to-point in Ireland in November. Rough Fighter was only beaten a couple of lengths when third at Ludlow but it will probably take a decent performance to lower the colours of MOLLY CAT, a very impressive winner at Wetherby earlier this month. She'll have learned plenty from that and it's significant that she's travelled south for this.
