    Verdict

Spunky could well improve for today's longer trip racing off such a lowly mark on his handicap debut, but SHANNON SPREE is just preferred. The latter didn't get the best of runs on her first start in a nursery at Salisbury last time, but caught the eye finishing with a late flourish to take fourth-place and Kieran O'Neill's claim will help her cause. Always A Sinner improved on his first start on the Polytrack and could figure along with Manomine, who wasn't beaten far at Newmarket last time.
