Verdict

Canaly is comfortably the pick on official ratings but may not be value. The last time he ran over timber was on New Year's Eve when he scored at Punchestown but that was on very heavy ground and he appears to need those conditions. If the rain arrives and turns the going he'll be the one to beat but on faster ground GIMLI'S ROCK may have his measure. He'd also prefer a bit of give but he's won on good ground and has been running well on the Flat and over hurdles this summer. Landero enjoys fast ground as he showed at Roscommon in July though he'll need to step up a gear as will Shabra Charity, who will probably do better when reverting to fences.
