Verdict
Alfa Mix has much more experience than most of these and has been racing in strong handicaps since beaten a neck at Punchestown in November. Caesar Rock led for a long way on just his second start over fences on the latter track in May so should improve. He holds Everglow on that run while three-times hurdles winner Calagogo is probably better than we've seen so far over the bigger obstacles. After just five runs over hurdles, three of them victories, CHINX OF LIGHT makes his debut over fences and his stamina has come into play for all three successes so chasing should be his game. Whacker Clan, a winner between the flags, looked a potentially useful chaser when scoring over hurdles at Tipperary while Walking On Glass never got close to Bacardys at Clonmel but stayed on strongly. The winner's yard is represented by Captain Kangaroo, a winning bumper and hurdler making his chasing debut.
