Verdict

King's Wharf is something of an unknown and was well beaten when last seen over hurdles last summer but wouldn't have been kept in the champion trainer's yard unless thought capable of winning races. Barrack Street couldn't quite get his head in front over hurdles but went close on several occasions and the ground is in his favour. Definite Soldier was staying on at the finish over the minimum trip at Clonmel so this should suit while The Herds Garden is better than he showed on very heavy ground at Fairyhouse in November. Charlotte's Chum was very ordinary over hurdles but has already done better over fences with a fine run over the course and distance last month. MR STEADFAST landed a bumper and scored over hurdles and though well beaten on his chasing debut in November that should have done him good and he's taken to return to action with his first victory over fences.
