Verdict

Lend A Hand Son likes fast ground as he showed when scoring at Sligo but a 7lb rise may prove his undoing. Winning point-to-pointer KNOCKREIGH had been racing over longer trips before tackling this C&D last month and he could hardly have been more impressive. He makes his handicap debut and, though not exactly thrown in, there appears plenty more to come. Doransfirth was in fine form on quick ground last summer but the handicapper may have hold of her and a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Lord Ben, who built up a long lead at Tramore last time before being caught close home and may be ridden with more restraint this time. Schinkel and Passing Through are others to consider in a wide-open event.
