In depth

Verdict

This has attracted a very strong line-up with six last-time winners, including a duo from Willie Mullins' yard. French import N'GOLO made a very impressive debut for the yard at Galway despite a couple of blips and looks an exciting prospect. Paul Townend has chosen him over Hybery, who didn't have much to beat at Wexford but couldn't have done it any easier. Uncle Henry scrambled home against Kendancer at Ballinrobe and the runner-up has been beaten subsequently though his trainer is represented here by Wajaaha, who beat a big field in a Leopardstown handicap in March and has won on the Flat recently. The four-year-old filly Guinevere is progressing nicely and may prove a bigger threat with her allowances after her victory at Galway.
