In depth

Verdict

Canaly has to be of interest tackling 3m for the first time. He is improving over fences and would have gone close to beating Tackmaster, who runs earlier on the card, over 2m4f here last time had he not been hampered after the last. Empire Theatre ran a nice race behind Catcherinscratcher at Tipperary earlier this month but had earlier proved no match for Mickelson over hurdles at Ballinrobe. Noel Meade's six-year-old is related to several decent chasers and is worth a second look here, though Willie Mullins' SIN PALO is just preferred. Finally off the mark over timber here last time, he's from the same family of a number of smart chasers so should be even better over the larger obstacles and the step up to 3m is in his favour.
