In depth
Verdict
HALL OF MIRRORS has come up against very stiff opposition in his two races to date and would have finished much closer to Galileo Rock at Leopardstown last time but for hanging badly in the closing stages. Compensation awaits though Impound was only beaten narrowly by subsequent winner Sugar Boy at Galway and has plenty more to give. Jim Bolger's newcomer Mac Lir is a half-brother to the stable's winner Late Debate while Orator has to be one of the best-bred youngsters in training being by Galileo out of the brilliant Airwave, who has already produced winners with her first three foals.
