Verdict

Alder represents last year’s winning yard and can improve on last month’s fourth at the Curragh as he steps up in trip. But Aidan O’Brien won this with Anthony Van Dycke back in 2018 and 1.2 million euros purchase HIAWATHA may prove good enough. A brother to stablemate and Group 1 winner Luxembourg, he’s entered in the National Stakes later in the season. Jockey bookings suggest Valiant King is preferred to Mister Mister while Blazing Sunset is a brother to a winner in France.
