Verdict

NIGHT SINGER arrives here in good form having won convincingly at Cork and almost defying a 5lb penalty when just failing to catch On The Loose at Gowran. He's only 1lb higher this time and should get back to winning ways. The former UK-trained Ilissos has run poorly over hurdles since joining new connections and looks to have plenty of weight for a maiden but Our Nana Rose ran a cracking race over timber at Ballinrobe at the beginning of the month and now the quicker ground has arrived she looks a big threat. Whitethorne Scent showed some promise last season and reappeared with a decent effort at Dundalk. She hasn't had much racing and could be the one to chase home the selection.
