Verdict

A Toi Phil, who ran in the Grand National's at Aintree and Fairyhouse, ran very well in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham on his last start over hurdles. Along with stable companion Ball D'Arc he's probably warming up for the Plate though both are reasonably handicapped with claimers on board. At the other end of the handicap, GOODNIGHTNGODBLESS is 2lb wrong in the weights but is improving at a rate of knots judging by her victory at Roscommon and looks certain to take some beating. Willie Mullins has two entries. Downpatrick maiden winner Éclat Des Mottes disappointed in his next two starts in novice company though starts out in handicaps on what could prove a very lenient mark but Hey Little Boy has been running moderately on the Flat and is another likely to be seen at Galway, a remark that also applies to Snugsborough Benny, a winner at last year's Festival over fences. Static Jack was having his first start for Gavin Cromwell when beaten a nose at Down Royal and could provide the main threat.
