Verdict

APACHE GOLD was probably fortunate to beat the unlucky in-running Happy Anniversary at Gowran and the runner-up has since made amends. That was his first sign of form and with just a 5lb rise to contend with and Seamie Heffernan booked he can complete the double. Big Bad Billy Bob finished fourth in that Gowran event and looks held but Lady Lyrath is tried in blinkers for the first time after her narrow defeat by Happy Anniversary at Bellewstown and a line through the winner puts her close to the selection at the weights. Mountain Mama has been going well but is climbing the weights without winning.
