Verdict

HOWTH is closely related to the smart Cayenne Pepper and three other winners so would have been expected to do better. He pulled too hard at Down Royal last time and gets another chance here. Bellabel disappointed at Bellewstown after a promising start at Limerick then found 6f too short in a lucrative Naas auction event. Play By The Rules has been coming up against smart opposition without being disgraced so could provide the main threat along with Mumayaz, who ran better than his finishing position suggests at the Curragh.
