Verdict

Lahinch Three made a winning start at Kilbeggan but found a better race at Galway too tough. Dicebox put his experience to good use when scoring here while Imperial Ruler really impressed at Tipperary. Level Neverending beat a good field at Galway but had earlier been five lengths behind SHERODAN when the latter was a very convincing winner at Tipperary and Peter Fahey's charge looks the one to beat.
