In depth

Verdict

SMITHSCORNER is in superb form and can complete a quick hat-trick. The winner of a strong handicap at Galway, he defied a 5lb rise with an impressive victory here on Thursday and though this is a tougher race he can continue his progress. Mind's Eye battled on well to score at Tipperary, when Bay Hill had every chance in fourth, and Hugh Morgan's claim will again help though Rachael Blackmore is on board the stable's lightly-raced Kupatana, the winner of a mares' Listed handicap at Cheltenham in April last year for Paul Nicholls. It's difficult to separate Willie Mullins' trio though Robin Des Foret, who has run well in some top handicaps, is looking on a fair mark and may prove best of them.
