In depth

Verdict

Useful hurdler De Valira hasn't done as well as expected this season but has been rated as high as 151 over timber in his time. He's an interesting recruit to the bigger obstacles but Native Palm ran a shocker in a handicap at Ballinrobe after showing promise on his opening runs over fences. Commandment hasn't won as often as he should have though he has run a couple of decent races over fences but Jaffonnien looks as though only very testing conditions will do for him. HOUSE RULES has always been well regarded and has won a bumper and a maiden hurdle in eight starts. It's more than likely he will do better over fences and Henry De Bromhead is with the right man to give him every opportunity to do so.
