        Verdict

        CHINCHON gets the vote as he finished a close fifth in this a year ago and looks to have been primed for a better effort on ground he will love. He had the worst of the draw in the Group 1 QEII Cup at Sha Tin where the local veteran Thumbs Up, who makes a very rare appearance outside of Hong Kong, ran his usual game race to finish second. with Zaidan fourth and California Memory close-up fifth. City Style had a very good Dubai Carnival culminating in a fine effort in the Dubai Duty Free and has to go on the short-list though he's a very rare performer on soft ground. Dream Peace will love the conditions while El Dorado looks best of the locals having won the Gold Cup on soft going here.
