Verdict

Merchant Of Milan beat I Am Colin a short-head at Warwick at the turn of the year and there shouldn't be much between the pair again here. But LORD LANDEN may be the one to beat if in the same mood as when coming with a wet sail to catch Comeonginger at Cheltenham in December. He's only 3lb higher and Paddy Brennan prefers him to out-of-form stablemate Our Cat. Silver Eagle also has a bit to prove at present but Thoonavolla wasn't disgraced on his UK debut here last time and stepping up in trip will suit.
