      Verdict

      SAMURAI WARRIOR is taken to follow up from his recent Lingfield success with both Solo River and Channel Crossing worth noting. The selection has been kept busy by trainer David Evans winning as far back as January on the all weather. He had run a few times over jumps also but came back to his best when winning at Lingfield last time out in a handicap. He has been dropped into this claiming contest and has been put in off a realistic mark so is sure to go close. Solo River ran well to finish second in a seller at Brighton last time out but she is proving a tricky filly to win with. She is more than capable on her day to win a race of this nature but she is not the most consistent so has to be treated with some caution. Channel Crossing has been running in better races than this of late. He managed to win a handicap here over further by making all and if similar tactics are adopted he should run well now he's dropped in grade. However, Samurai Warrior looks the form pick and is preferred.
