Verdict
It's hard to have much confidence in any of these. Crescent Beach could figure judged on his placed efforts over shorter trips but he's yet to win a race of any kind and LODGICIAN gets the token vote. He scored at Cartmel in July and if the ground remains fast, Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge may be up to landing this. Bally Lagan has slipped further down the weights but has yet to show any improvement for it, while a second at Southwell during the summer is Mad Professor's best effort of the year so far.
