In depth
Verdict
Little strength in depth in this weak claimer and Fortune Point is taken to score while Lakota Brave, Noble Pursuit and Bee Health Boy are others to consider. Martin Pipe's charge showed progressive form last year, landing handicaps over this trip at Kempton and Chepstow, and made a highly satisfactory return ion a competitive handicap at Goodwood last month. The five-year-old made good headway to challenge before lack of a recent outing began to tell in the closing stages, eventually finishing sixth of 19, beaten five lengths behind a useful yardstick. This represents a significant ease in grade and the son of Cadeaux Genereux is expected to take full advantage with ground conditions to suit once again. Lakota Brave is well in to the veteran stage of his career but has been knocking on the door of late and has solid place claims on favourable terms while Noble Pursuit has been below his best of late but can't be ruled out if reproducing the form of his Windsor success last term. Bee Health Boy was disappointing last time and is better judged on a previous claiming win at Newcastle but has a little to find at the weights.
