In depth
Verdict
A really tough one to call and Kuster is only a tentative selection, while Bay Boy, King's Ransom and Experimental are forwarded as dangers. Admittedly, the last named has a bit to find on ratings and has to be an each-way option. He has been plying his trade under both codes and has been in good heart of late. John Harris' charge managed to halt a long losing run on his penultimate start and could be the surprise package of the race. King's Ransom faces a stiff in giving weight away to all bar Tizzy May and needs everything to go his way. Still, he has a feasible chance on these terms. Bay Boy ran one of his better races when second at Ayr last month. He has been kept busy since he joined Mark Johnston and is worth bearing in mind if the market vibes are strong today. However, he has struggled to get his head in front and has been very expensive to follow. So we prefer to go with Kuster, who sets the standard on the official figures. Luca Cumani's charge has obviously endured training problems and it is unlikely that he is going to improve greatly at his age. Nevertheless, he has ability locked away somewhere and, quite frankly, would not need to be at his best to wallop most of these.
