Verdict
Lordship does his best work with cut in the ground but is bang out of form. Katmai River is relatively unexposed and he has the advantage in the handicap but will need to improve on a runner-up effort here last time out to stand a chance. Former Italian racer Sapperton disappointed on British soil debut at Haydock but his best effort came when winning on heavy ground at Pisa, so he may benefit from the surface conditions. MR UDAGAWA is selected in this race after a win last time out and only 4lb higher in the ratings he remains on a realistic looking mark. Commando Scott could be a threat as he should handle the going and is only 3lb higher than his last winning mark.
