Verdict
OMME ANTIQUE looks to be off a winnable mark these days and could break his maiden here at the expense of Midnight Diamond and Tempting Paradise. The form from the selection's last time out competitive showing off a mark three pounds higher on his chasing debut is looking strong having been franked with the runner up going on to land one of these races next time up. Also in his favour is the cracking form of his yard and the fact he had a near miss off this rating over hurdles. Midnight Diamond should improve from his debut over fences 10 days ago and the clues are there that he will with decent displays over timber off higher ratings. The ground was against Tempting Paradise last time but he still managed a good display in a race where the form is relatively strong. With the firmer going underneath him this time he can go well here despite being rated nine pounds heavier than his last victory. Guns Of Love is well out of the handicap proper but it could be that his mark is deceptively low and the form from his last outing is looking solid enough but given that most have high rating to overcome we side with Omme Antique who looks best treated.
