Verdict
Psycho Cat gets the vote over the likes of Woodwee, Coalite, and the Mick Quinn pair Teddy Monty and Miss Champagne. This low-key contest should be well within the capabilities of Psycho Cat, successful twice in similar company at Southwell last November. Since then Paul Blockley's charge has performed with credit on the all-weather, having been placed on each of his three latest outings. He has in the main been campaigned over further than today's trip, failing to last home, so despite Leicester boasting a stiff climb to the line, the drop back in trip should still help, and he looks the one to beat on overall form. Woodwee's latest victory also came last November and since then he too has run well in defeat, so can give the selection most to do, with a drop in grade to help. Coalite is lightly raced but has not been seen since August, while the betting will reveal which of the Quinn duo Teddy Monty and Miss Champagne is preferred. It is not a race to get too worked up about, but a small wager on Psycho Cat is the suggestion.
