Verdict

Trojan Star is looking to exploit a slide down the weights though was still beaten a long way on both occasions when placed on his last couple of outings. Kilinakin went close over a longer trip on fast ground at Kempton on his penultimate start but hasn’t raced since November while MONDO CANE failed to threaten when third over 2m4f at Southwell earlier this week. But the latter was narrowly beaten over course and distance before that and should make another bold bid today ahead of Bajardo, who finished well ahead of Changing The Guard when winning at Fakenham at the end of last year.
