Verdict
This should not take much winning, and Forever Fantasy is taken to make a successful debut, with fellow newcomer Maclean expected to put up a bold show as well. John Dunlop's juveniles generally come on for their initial introduction but his better ones are always capable of popping in at the first time of asking, and by all accounts Forever Fantasy has been working like a good 'un at home. The son of Daylami is a half-brother to the useful Lucky Guest and has an entry in next year's Vodafone Derby, and is stoutly enough bred on both sides of his pedigree to justify such high hopes. Sir Michael Stoute's Maclean is also a Derby entry, but in addition, has been put in Ascot's Royal Lodge stakes, and being a son of Machiavellian, out of Celtic Cross, may excel at distances around a mile. Indeed the dam is a half-sister to smart miler Right Approach. With Selkirk in that side of his family as well, he may just find conditions too fast here. The rest, Lady Georgina apart, appear nothing out of the ordinary, and Forever Fantasy, who appears to be the best of Dunlop's trio, can make an immediate impact.
