In depth
Verdict
Golfagent, Lance Toi, Call Me Jack and Jazz Night look to be the four to focus on here, with the vote going to Golfagent. A winner from a mark of 102 over fences under Rules, the selection warmed up for this with a point-to-point win and looks to hold very good claims of winning again. Lance Toi is only a six-year-old - and a late foal at that - and he seemed to be improving last time when winning a point to point race, so pay him some respect, while Call Me Jack's best form under Rules over the last year or so gives him some claims. Jazz Night won a similar race at Hereford in April, although he lacks a recent outing, and the chance of Hedge Fund, having formerly shown some form in France, cannot be dismissed. Turning to the others and Hot Plunge was placed in a similar event at Folkestone 11 months ago, and Viscount Bankes was only just touched off by Jazz Night in a similar race last April. Overall, though, we are happy to side with Golfagent.
