Tomfre beat PERSUASION (NAP) when winning last year’s renewal but the latter can reverse running on today’s more favourable terms. The former wasn’t at his best at Ascot last time but Charlie Hill’s charge ran well for third in this grade at Goodwood on his latest outing and can land this with a similar effort. Motawaajed missed out on a hat-trick when only fourth at Doncaster and has yet to encounter soft going while several won their penultimate starts with Bear Force One preferred to Able Kane and Ropey Guest.
