Verdict

An open finale and preference is for Diarus ahead of Markington and Keen Warrior. In a race where not too many are likely to run up to their best, Diarus can emerge victorious. Lucy Wadham has her horses in fair form at present and with the horse having run well in defeat on two starts this season, he should go well. The ground is unlikely to really play to his strengths but proven on soft ground in the past a big run is expected. Keen Warrior should improve on his last run where he didn't run up to form, whilst Midnight Diamond would be a major player if fully tuned up for this reappearance run. Grey Brother needs a check in the betting returning from a lengthy absence, whilst Markington should do better this season and should not be overlooked. A tough race to call, but Diarus is taken to score.
