Verdict
AWJAB receives the vote in a competitive sprint. Brian Ellison's charge is clearly improving with racing as evinced by a best effort to date when third and seemingly unfancied last time in a decent Haydock contest behind the potentially useful Don't Touch. A 3lb rise does seem a little harsh but the trainer has negated that imposition by booking useful apprentice, Jacob Butterfield for the ride. A repeat of that level should see the Bahamian Bounty gelding on the premises. Explain may have topweight to deal with but couldn't have been more impressive last time in a Windsor romp and commands great respect, whilst Secret Spirit, Straightothepoint and Perardua are all of interest, notably the latter for whom Tom Queally is an interesting booking on her seasonal reappearance.
