Polperro had Qahriman behind when runner-up to Arch Fire at Sandown last month but looks far from straightforward and the latter was also making his debut that day. Luca Cumani's charge will know more today and it would be no surprise to see him turn the tables but he could find LAATAFREET a tough nut to crack. The Godolphin colt missed the break on his introduction at Kempton in October but still ran the useful Primavere to a length with several subsequent winners in arrears. He can go one better today. Newcomer Ecossaise is worth noting for future reference while the four-year-old Secret Era will be qualified for handicaps after this.
