In depth

Verdict

Pretty Penny did well to get the better of subsequent winner Ballinhassig at Plumpton on her first start over the larger obstacles under Rules and there should be more to come from Jennifer Mason's mare. But we just prefer CESIUM, who won over a shorter trip in better company on this track a year ago and has been gradually getting his act back together lately. Kilvergan Boy usually finds at least one too good but Paradise Expected won at Ffos Las on Boxing Day and makes more appeal than Rivermouth, who may just need this after a break. Earl Of Thomond represents a yard that does well here and is entitled to improve on his chasing debut at Huntingdon last month.
