    Verdict

It was a very weak race which Edgar won at Towcester at the start of the month. Agreement’s latest second here should be taken with a pinch of salt while Triple Chief appears to be going backwards. Elkstone is proving very hit-and-miss while Barton Rose’s efforts over fences so far have left much to be desired. BRINESTINE kept on well under pressure when second here last time and, though raised 2lb since, looks the one to be on today with dual course winner Some Finish having pulled up in three of his last five starts.
