A very competitive contest to finish off with and the vote goes to the consistent Princess Taylor ahead of recent winner Grand Vizier and Carlitos Spirit. The selection is yet to score this season, and indeed in her seven race career so far, but her recent efforts have been very encouraging. Her second to La Vecchia Scuola reads fairly well in the context of this race and whilst she doesn't really possess a finishing kick, we are hopeful that today could be the day that she wins. Grand Vizier on the other hand is familiar with the winners enclosure, having won two of his four starts. However he has looked more at home on an all-weather surface and has something to prove at present. Dirty Dancing is surely better than his show last time; a performance that was disappointing given the horse's breeding that suggested a mile would suit. He shouldn't be written off, along with Golden Prospect who has the ability but hasn't been putting it all in of late. At a price Blackberry Pie could be seen to better effect now sent handicapping, however Princess Taylor is fancied to win at the eight attempt.
