In depth
Verdict
The selection here is Man The Gate, with Red River Rebel, Monksford and Most Saucy finding their way onto the list of others to consider. The selection is a course and distance winner who, to our eye, does not look too badly handicapped for this 12-furlong event. As such, he rates the selection. Ipsa Loquitir is lightly raced and might have improvement to come, but Red River Rebel is well-handicapped on his form of under two years ago and Forest Tune is heading back towards a winning mark, so give him consideration too. Madadhir is slightly unfavourably weighted with Man The Gate on Folkestone form in March, but Monksford is another to be fairly close now to a winning mark and comes here fit from hurdling. Most Saucy has a right to consideration too while Great View comes here in good heart but has a rise in the ratings to defy if scoring. Trusted Mole is a course winner but has a few pounds to find based on his best Turf form. That comment applies to a number of the others but, for us, not to Man The Gate, who gets the vote.
