        Verdict

        OVER THE GUNS overcame inexperience to win a shade cosily over 6f here on his debut. Paul Cole’s colt is taken to defy a penalty with improvement expected over this extra distance. Stellar Comet finished a lot closer over 6f at Chelmsford last time and Allatoona posted a much better effort when fourth at Catterick. Silkstone made the frame over today’s trip at Lingfield and an apprentice’s allowance helps his cause but Beauty Concept hasn’t shown the progress expected and returns to novice company.
