Verdict

Cuban Pete won over hurdles and fences at Hereford that hasn't run as well when tackling much softer conditions. Never Up is a consistent performer at this level who won't mind the conditions while Lickpenny Larry, who scored on heavy ground at Uttoxeter in November, can't have been right when beaten a long way on a return visit. GLANCE BACK (NAP) went up 8lb for a very easy victory at Southwell and came here for a much better race last month in which he led for a long way. This is a drop in class and he's on the same mark so can return to winning ways. Louse Talk has never won over fences and ran poorly at Uttoxeter last time while Shanty Alley looks high enough in the weights.
