      Verdict

      Firepower was due to have a first run in a year at Chelmsford yesterday. Equiano Springs has been in good form this year while Indian Sounds beat North Wind by four lengths at Beverley, though may this a bit more difficult under a penalty. ROSE HIP continues heading in the right direction and has an excellent strike-rate. She only weakened close home at Ascot last time and should be competitive again off a pound lower mark. Mighty Spirit was a speedy juvenile who hinted at a revival last time at at York but has still only managed one win while Dark Shot hasn’t won on Turf in more than four years.
