Verdict

Artistic Thread was backed down to favouritism for his handicap debut at Kempton but never really threatened. He'll be looking to make amends over this longer trip, but a big step forward will be needed to catch up with TAKEITFROMALADY. He's improved on all three starts in maidens and with the extra distance sure to suit Ralph Beckett's charge, gets the nod. Mcvicar wasn't far away on his handicap debut on the Polytrack where he had Enjoying behind, while Flurry Of Hands scored on his first start in a handicap at Newcastle but this looks tougher.
