Verdict
Sir Bob looked to be on the way back last time, but he could probably do with coming down another lb or two. Although, his stable had been going through a quite spell, but they did have a couple of runners over the weekend, who shaped much better. Jeremy Spider may need the outing after a break, while a similar comment also applies to both Emperor's Magic and Strong Magic. Canon Barney has shown little aptitude for chasing and is easily passed over, while Favoured Option is from a yard that is finding winners hard to come by. Rufius and Reflex Courier are both respected, but this looks an ideal chance for Channahrlie to finally get his head in front, despite racing from out of the handicap. He has proved a little frustrating for connections, having filled the runner-up spot for his last six outings, but he doesn't appear to to much wrong. He comes into this fit and well and is taken to land an long overdue success.
