Verdict
Spanish Gold may offer a little value in an open heat in which Just A Martian, Shenley Charm and Satelcom are all worthy of consideration. Peter Makin's charge showed little on her sole juvenile start at Newbury despite being well supported but shaped better on her all-weather debut at Wolverhampton in March behind a useful yardstick and confirmed the form by slamming a subsequent winner on a return visit later in the month. Although not seen out since, the yard is in reasonable form and the daughter of Vettori doesn't look too harshly treated on her handicap debut so a bold show is anticipated. Shenley Charm ended last term in style with back-to-back wins but has been absent for over eight months and may just need the outing. Just A Martian got off the mark with a narrow success at Bath last time and looks capable of going close off a mark just 2lb higher while Satelcom is a thoroughly consistent type and has solid place claims but Spanish Gold is the choice at likely decent odds.
