        Verdict

        A poor contest that can be taken by Tharua, with Worth Abbey and Cayman Colony others to consider. Tharua has been struggling to get home over a mile of late, so this drop back in trip will hopefully suit. The form of her Hamilton third last time is good enough in the context of this race, and she looks worth chancing to small stakes. Worth Abbey was a winner over this trip at Lingfield earlier in the year, and the drop back to seven furlongs in claiming company can see him take closer order. Cayman Colony has form at this trip too, though the ground is a concern for the Richard Hannon-trained colt. Of the others, don't discount a better effort from Red Affleck with Darryll Holland on board and first time blinkers to boot, but in a race not to dwell on, Tharua is good enough for us.
