Verdict

Soapy Danger seemed to handle the cut in the ground perfectly well at Beverley last time but a 7lb rise for that success and even more testing conditions leaves Mark Johnston's colt with more to do today and preference is for Hero Worship with Gee Dee Nen rated the best of the remainder. The selection is the least exposed of the quintet having just the one outing but the Michael Jarvis-trained son of Kalanisi created a favourable impression when landing his maiden at Pontefract and he looks well treated for his debut in a handicap off a mark of 85. It will be interesting to see what Bariloche achieves now that he races on turf for the first time, while Pukka Tique needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge. Gee Dee Nen made a highly satisfactory reappearance at Redcar last month and would have claims if staying this trip but there are no doubts on that score for Hero Worship, who gets the vote.
