Verdict
Leicester maidens often throw up useful sorts so this is one for lovers of juvenile contests to take careful note of as a number of strong yards unveil potentially interesting newcomers. Sword Of Gold represents a yard going really well with their youngsters and commands attention along with the likes of Alnasherat for the Stoute yard, Tom Dascombe's Liberation Day and the Hannon pair of Critical Data and Glorious Dane. Tzar Nicholas and Almurr also are interesting on paper but maybe the experience of FANAAR (NAP)will prove decisive. Green on his Newmarket debut, he rates a surefire improver as he was going on nicely at the end of his race, also suggesting that he is well prepared for the step-up in trip to a sixth furlong.
